Stefan Nedelchev Tsanev (Стефан Неделчев Цанев) (born August 9, 1936) is a contemporary Bulgarian writer, known for his essays, plays and poems, as well as historical novels.

Among his books are Ubiytsite sa mezhdu nas (Убийците са между нас; The killers are among us). His plays include Istinskiyat Ivaylo (Истинският Ивайло; The true Ivaylo), which was banned.

His latest work is a long evolving project on Bulgarian history. The author sets to discover hidden facts, along with the well-known, from our history (from 2137 BC to present days) in a four-volumes series - Bulgarian Chronicles.
