A good little girl named Lucie loses her handkins and a pinny. She sees some white cloths lying in the grass high on a hill and, after climbing up to them, discovers a strange little door in the hillside. Upon knocking and entering, she finds a washerwoman, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, busy with her work. Lucie's handkins are there among other freshly laundered items that include.
