The novel “Fortress of the Blacksmiths” is a story for a family and their fight for survival during XIX and XX century. In the first volume the heroes decide to change their lives and their attitude to the enslaver. They realize that their freedom depends on them. The main hero starts his adventure from a village near Vitosha Mountain. He becomes an outcast, lives in Romania and takes a part in the battle near Shipka as soldier of the Russian army.
