From Khan Asparukh to Tsar Simeon II - this book includes 550 of the most notable Bulgarian rulers, generals, politicians and statesmen. Valiant men, brilliant military strategists, fearless and skillful leaders, often met their death unjustly. It's good for everyone to have them knows, to remember their name so that they will not be forgotten. The book does not claim to be comprehensive. Many names were left out of the list of 50 selected personalities, but we hope that our texts will arouse interest and you will read more about our heroes with brave hearts.

Their stories are worthy of admiration and some of them could pass for scripts for a successful movie, but these people contributed to the creation and building of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian fighting spirit. It's our job to save them!
