Golden book of Bulgarian petty-bourgeois cuisine
This book has no ambition to bombard you with thousands of complex nouvelle cuisine recipes, nor any balkantourist nostalgia. The aim is to show the secrets of preparing delicious Bulgarian food. Without claiming to be exhaustive, I will try to highlight the clever tricks that are used in our traditional family kitchen, which have been passed down through generations and from my parents' circle of friends. The book is a kind of tribute to my mother Tsvetana Zyumbyuleva, who left this world 11 years ago and although she was a person with a career, a chemist by profession, she was able and knew so many things that I often think that there will never be such capable people people like their generation. So this is a tribute not only to her but to her whole generation. Hats off!
